The Canadian War Graves Netherlands Foundation, a collaboration between Bergen op Zoom, Groesbeek and Holten, wants to permanently remember all Canadian soldiers who are buried in one of the large cemeteries in these cities and in smaller cemeteries elsewhere in our country. to give them a face by pictures and life stories. This information has to be made accessible to the public. A great deal of (photo) material has already been collected in recent years. Biographies of more than a thousand fallen have already been compiled from the information provided by relatives and third parties. A research team has been put together in Bergen op Zoom for this purpose. This team consists of an editor, a number of researchers and students. Contact was therefore sought with schools so that students can support this project as a profile paper. The research team works closely with the Canadian War Graves Netherlands Foundation. The results of Faces to Graves will soon form a prominent part of the information to be found in the information center at the Canadian and British cemetery in Bergen op Zoom, which is yet to be realized.
